More and more of what a business runs on is billed as it is consumed — compute, storage, data, AI. Pay‑as‑you‑go rewards speed and punishes inattention: nothing stops you spending, and nothing asks whether you meant to. We want ownership, attribution and control to be properties of metered spend itself — guardrails built in, not a cleanup afterwards.
